I'm browsing the June to September 1959 WR Programme of Working of Coaches and Vans in Through Trains. From 4th July to August 31st there was a Saturdays only 9.20am Ebbw Vale LL to Paddington. I can't find a return working. The coaches whole working is:

9.20am Ebbw Vale to Paddington

1.0am Paddington to Swansea
9.45am Swansea to Cardiff
4.45pm Cardiff to Paddington
Monday
1.20am Paddington to Cardiff

I'll include this in the next newsletter to see if we get a response from the wider membership, but meantime does anybody know the location of the Ebbw carriage sidings? I was born and brought up in Ebbw Vale and don't recall ever seeing them - tho' I was only 3 in 1959!

Would this be referring to the carriage sidings at Ebbw Junction just to the west of the loco shed on the North side of the main line?Menelaus wrote:does anybody know the location of the Ebbw carriage sidings?
