Rhymney Railway track

Post by Penrhos1920 »

RW Kidner writes in his Rhymney Railway, Oakwood Press, book that in 1910 the RR started replacing flat-bottomed track with bullhead but that it was not completed by 1922. He then goes on to list various sections of track that hadn't been done but there are no double track sections listed. Were all double track sections bullhead by 1922?

The LMS society have a copy of the LMS Permanent Way book https://www.lmssociety.org.uk/assets/pd ... ay1928.pdf. Has anyone seen a similar book for The Rhymney? Or even any South Wales company? I have a photo of a Rhymney railchair and it is very similar to GWR 2 bolt chair.
