Hirwaun - Aberdare change of polarity

Hirwaun - Aberdare change of polarity
When it was part of the Vale of Neath, the direction from Hirwaun to Aberdare was Up. But at some stage it has (more logically, now) become Down, to follow the usual 'valley configuration'. Did the change take place with the Cwmbach link in 1973 - or from some other date?

It was Down from Mountain Ash (Cardiff Road) to Hirwaun Pond in the March 1973 supplement no 3 to the Sectional Appendix but had changed to Down from Hirwaun Pond to Abercwmboi in the August 1974 Appendix. I don't have any K2 notices for 1973.
