Taff Vale re-doubling
I went for a run out to Merthyr and Aberdare on Friday 4.11.22 to see the new loop at Quakers Yard and the re-doubling work at Merthyr and Cwmbach. It all looks very impressive but I can't help thinking of similar work on the Western Valley which was never finished. Taff's Well depot is coming on as is the new tunnel under the road to connect it to the main line.

I went for a ride to Ebbw Vale last week. Work has re-started on the Western Valleys re-doubling.
