GW wagon on the Dean Forest Railway

Visiting Whitecroft Station on the Dean Forest Railway during the recent Diesel Gala (April 23/24 2022) I saw a heavily weathered long wheel-base GW covered van with the lettering Treorchy & North Pole Jcn just visible on the wooden side. I enclose a photo of the lettering. Does anyone have any idea what was conveyed in the van. There must have been a regular flow of traffic between the two places to justify a dedicated van. All I can find about commercial activity at Treorchy was that before Nationalisation it was the base for a large chemical analytical laboratory for the group of collieries belong to the Ocean Colliery Company.

For info, your photo is not visible as it hasn't been attached in the correct way and sadly, there's no info to tell you how to do it so let me try. I attempted to do this by a Private Message but attachments seem to be prohibited. The forum software config doesn't make life easy!
Clicking the images will give you a bigger image - the software seems to be configured to only display thumbnails which is also an irritation.

First, you can edit your original post using this top right button on your post:

Second, open the attachments pane:

Finally, add your photo by linking to it on your computer:

Thanks for your help in explaining how to insert a picture into my message. When I was preparing my original message I thought I hadn't been able to include the image.

I have attempted to follow your instructions but at the moment I still can't insert the image but I will keep trying!
