Burry Port & Gwendraeth Valley Railway.

Post by paulb »

In Newsletter 157, (Winter 2018) there was a short article by Chris Jones about his Great Uncle who was the Station Master at Burry Port for the BP&GVR. I am undertaking some research on the BP&GVR for a local Heritage Group and would appreciate contact or any additional information.

Howard Roger Williams is shown on the 1921 census as being the Station Master at Burry Port & Pembrey BP&GVR). The 1939 England & Wales Register shows him as being the Station Master at Taffs Well which is further confirmed by RAil 264-268 where again he is shown as taking up the post in 1927 with a salary of £300 PA.
Sorry its late but better late than never!
