Who designed the Rhymney Railway stations? In particular the stations on the Joint line at Aberfan and Abercanaid and at Llanishen. Generally, is there anything published on railway architecture in Wales?

Some years I decided that I wanted to model either Aberfan or Abercanaid c.1908. The start of pandemic coincided with semi-retirement so my plans got energised. I have a part completed S4 model of Aberfan BUT I'm going to rebuild it,,,,various reasons. During my research I managed to find a source of drawings for the station building at Aberfan. These were in a magazine article published by The Institution of Civil Engineers in the 1880's. I no longer have the article and don't know who the Architects were. Nonetheless I did draw my interpretation in AutoCAD a few years ago (attached). The station building at Abercanaid is virtually identical apart from being handed. As for the other buildings: 1. Signal boxes on the Taff Merthyr were McKenzie & Holland Type 3 with stone walls to cill level. 2. No drawings or pics of Aberfan Goods shed have been found but a few pics exist for Abercanaid. I drew my interpretation of Aberfan Goods Shed (attached) 3. Waiting room at Aberfan was enclosed rather than the simpler shelter at Abercanaid
