unknown location possibly swansea

Hello all,

I have received the attached photos to see if the location can be identified.

I have been given your details by the Swansea Valley History Society in the hope that you might be able to assist with information about the attached photos. They were taken by my father in the late 40s or early fifties whilst staying with my grandparents in Swansea one winter. I have no other information about place/places or dates.

Unfortunately, no one at SVHS recognised the locations, although it was suggested that they might be of Betws Colliery in Ammanford; Cefn Coed Colliery, Neath or Penallta Colliery at Hengoed in the Rhymney Valley.

They're not all railway related but any suggestions would be welcomed.
