Ebbw Vale loco livery

Post by Newport_rod »

I'm building a model of a Peckett E Class Locomotive Pontypool 1010 of 12/1903. I'd like to replicate the Ebbw Vale loco livery in the period before the RTB take-over of 1935 - I'm assuming that EV would have its own rather that use a Peckett standard. Can anyone suggest a source of this info?

To answer my question, embarrassingly I had already found the a webpage https://www.davidlosmith.co.uk/Peckett-E-Class.htm which had the answer. "In the Peckett order book there is a reference that, when new, Pontypool was painted black with yellow lining."
