506 appears to be an end tipper. There is what looks like a hinge bar at the far end .

Looking through John Hutton book Taff Vale Railway miscellany.
There is this picture taken when Treorchy station was being rebuilt.
The wagon nearest to the crane looks like it is lettered Roberts & Johns.
Could they of been contractors for the TVR?
