This may be old hat but I've just come across what appears to be BR and RR wagons at Hollybusy Colly, which was in the Sirhowy Valley and served by the LNWR. The BR wagon is marked LOCO and (assuming that they are both for loco coal) it got me wondering why the two railways went so far off piste for coal with so many collieries on their own patch (or the patches they muscled into) providing similar products.
