I've ordered a couple of B&MR 'plates form Narrow Planet, one in 4mm and the other 7mm; £3.50 and £5 each respectively, painted and including P&P, which I think is very reasonable for a bespoke product. I'll report back when I receive them.

My thanks to David Bird who reminded us about Kings Cross Numberplates in NL151.

The list of pre-grouping plates from their website http://www.gcrsociety.co.uk/kingscrossplates.html takes a little searching through (it's sorted by loco number not company) so I’ve extracted here their range of Welsh standard-gauge loco plates (but please see their website for details)

B&M 3*, 11*, 23, 26, 35*, 36, 39
Barry 14, 35, 66*, 67*, 83*, 97*, 98*, 141
Cambrian (36) Plasfynon (sic)*, 37*, 58, 21
Cardiff 21
Port Talbot 20
R&SB 7(?), 12, 19
TVR 3, 4 (M1 0-6-2T) *, 4 (Railmotor) *, 19, 28, 30, 33, 69, 75, 79, 114, 141, 144, 149, 150*, 171 (1911) *, 171*, 173*, 195, 198, 284, 416

All plates are available in 4mm; those marked with an asterisk in 7mm too

Then on 17th July I was emailed proofs for checking and yesterday 5th August I received the plates themselves. Here's a pic and I'm very pleased with them.
