Noel,
Looking at other photographs that I have of the 2251 class, I am more convinced than ever that it is a 2251 in the photograph,
The sand box activating lever ties in with other of the class together with the 'superheat box' on the side of the smokebox.
Looking through all of my notes on the P&TR, the shed was extended in 1932 so obviously the photograph predates that!
During WWII the area at the far end of the shed had a siding put in known locally at the Davy Jones siding.
I think now this topic can safely be closed.
Thanks to everyone who commented.
