Class 950 at Rhiwderyn on Machen branch

Post by Mike87f »

The archiving team at Rhiwderyn were alerted yesterday (13th September) to a train when the warnings sounded at the nearby road barriers. It turned out to be the Class 950 track assessment train. There are two snatched photos attached, the first on the outward trip

and the second on the return.

It was the hottest September for ever yesterday, but you can see that did not apply in Rhiwderyn.

Thanks for these Mike

A couple us (Rhobat and Ray) were looking at the the track at Machen on Saturday, it looked as if had seen a wheel in yonks.
