Cambrian Railway - Coach "grab" handles

I am on a mission to produce a master (in 7mm scale) for the "grab" handles fitted to the Cambrian Railway bogie coaches. I have copies of the drawings published in the Engineer in the 1890's but I am nervous that such detail may be diagrammatic and not totally reliable. Has anyone, either details or access to a prototype fitting or suggest a possible source of information. One possibility is the preserved coach stores at Nantgarw but I am not sure how accessible it is, even by special arrangement. Can anyone help and if successful, the fittings will be available to WRRC members who may have Trevor Charlton etches in the cupboard.
