The Van Railway possessed a pair of Manning Wardle 0-6-0 tanks which, in the late 1890s, were transferred to Cambrian stock. The Cambrian replaced one of them with by a new engine in 1901. Were they Manning Wardle Class L and, if so, did they retain their open cabs for the remainder of their Cambrian careers?
