TVR Signal Lens colours

One subject which has been discussed for years is whether the TVR used purple glass in its signals; HT Hobbs, who was a pre-grouping expert from his own observations who advising TL Jones etc, and also me (from examination of diagrams supporting HM inspection submissions) supported some use of purple lenses. But I had been unable to support this from written info.
However
I now have a worn original 1913 TVR Rule & Regulation book. I quote from parts of pages 16 to 27
“
FIXED SIGNALS
28. Fixed signals consist of Distant, Home, Starting, Advanced Starting, Sidings, Calling-on, and Shunting Signals

Note:- On some Companies’ lines a Purple or small White Light is used as the Danger Signal for Ground Signals controlling Sidings, Cross-over-roads and Bay Lines and on other Companies’ Lines no light is shown to indicate the Danger position. <Italic off>

49. The Back Lights of Fixed Signals show a White Light to the Signalman when at Danger, and a Purple Light or no Light when All Right.

I have followed the style of the Rulebook.
Note the contrast between other companies and TVR!
The book had belonged to “Messgr E G Lewis, Booking and Enquiry Office, TVR, Pontypridd”, who lived at 3 Bridge St, Trehafod. I’ll see what I can find out about him in the Glamorgan Censusus (Censii?).
However
