Mold Junction Curve Line
(i) Was the Mold Jn Curve line between Mold Junction No 3 and Mold Junction No 4 ever a running line? I suspect that it was part of the Down Yard and not a running line. The local instruction on page 310 of the 1960 Appendix suggests that it was worked as a siding. It is was not in Table A in 1960.
(ii) Does anyone have a note of when the Mold Jn Curve line was constructed or taken out of use? Coflein suggests that the curve was contemporary with Mold Jn No 4 ARP box (late 1930s?). The curve is not shewn on the 1945 OS map. Mold Junction engine shed closed on 18 April 1966. Mold Jn No 3 box closed on 2 February 1970.
