The trustees of the group responsible for the ongoing restoration of former Barry Railway coach No 163 are seeking a new location for the vehicle. Based at Hampton Loade on the Severn Valley Railway, the Ashbury-built 1st-2nd composite has been undergoing restoration since 1992 when it a "rescued" from a field at Clent, Worcestershire. An announcement by the Trustees refers to a lack of progress due to the Covid pandemic and the lack of indoor facilities in which to store the vehIcle. In a statement, the Trustees favour an alternative nearby site or transferring the coach to a new owner with similar aims regarding the coach's future.
