We've had a query about livery from someone commissioned to make a model.
Is there anything more known than the information published in:
Briwnant-Jones et al; The Neath & Brecon Railway; Gomer Press; 2005; ISBN 9781843234524
Lewis et al; Great Western Way; HMRS; 2009; ISBN 97870302835276?
In summary: rich red-brown, black lining edged in yellow, bufferbeam vermilion lined in yellow, no crest or coat of arms. No comments on wheels or numbering front or back.

I have a builder's photo of this engine. The valance was lined as was the boss and the rims of the wheels. The centre of the boss was a darker colour.

Having had a more detailed look at the photo, the lining is quite complicated. I think it would be best if I try to get a decent photo of it - it's in a frame behind glass - and email it to the person concerned.

The query came in from Warren Heywood - I've passed his email address to S. W. Johnson.

...thank you for your efforts, it’s very much appreciated.
I’ve attached a couple of pictures of Welsh locos I have painted if you wish to use them for anything.
These are versions to fit on our forum.

I'm very much looking forward to seeing photo of the N&BR model when Warren has finished it.

Received from Warren.
Picture of the Neath and Brecon loco I asked you about although the cab roof isn’t on!
Thanks for your help
