Re: Neath railway station canteen 1941 -1979
Hello Gerald
The only mention I can find in the Great Western Railway magazine was in the February 1947 edition when they mentioned various Staff Association branches which had been forced to close down during the war owing to their premises having been wholly or partially occupied for other urgent purposes, being re-opened.
"The Neath branch is once again enjoying occupation of its premises, which were used as a canteen for His Majesty's Forces."
I don't even know if this refers to the railway station canteen.
John
