It certainly looks that way, but that at least was a trailing point. There is an instance earlier in the brake van tour where the pointsman must have changed a facing point immediately after the last set of wheels had passed the switch. By the time the point appears in view it is set for the other direction. I wonder how many derailments occurred in NCB days.
The BFI has a number of films of railway interest yet to be digitised, see for example http://search.bfi.org.uk/search-bfi/%22 ... railway%22, probably the most interesting from a Welsh railways point of view being Great Western Ports made in 1929, http://www.bfi.org.uk/films-tv-people/4ce2b69e96be5.
How about a WRRC initiative to get some of these digitised?
