The late Colin Chapman (Circle founder-member, Oakwood Press author etc) was
4mm modelling a longish time ago, probably a bit before the modern hi-fi
components appeared on the scene - cast Kenline brake gear era, maybe.
However, his widow Diana has finally decided to dispose of most of Colin's
models by auctioning them for charity on 15th November an
auctioneer's note of the lots is attached. I am told that postal / telephone bidding
is feasible - the auction is in Bury St Edmunds!

Noel
Thank you for your diligence in this matter. I agree that we should not publish personal addresses without permission.
The pdf to which andrewnummelin gave the link does not give any personal addresses and for that matter neither does the the link that I posted. The initial file that did contain a personal address was removed from the Forum yesterday evening.

Re: Colin Chapman's models
Does anybody know in which variety of 4mm Colin modelled? One can see from the photos that it wasn't P4, but was it EM or OO?

No problem Noel, no offence was taken. On the contrary we're glad that you pointed the matter out in the first place.

Re: Colin Chapman's models
I e-mailed the auction house asking if they knew the gauge; they tell me the lots are packed away until nearer the date of the auction but will check and let me know. I'll post an update here when they do.Newport_rod wrote:Does anybody know in which variety of 4mm Colin modelled? One can see from the photos that it wasn't P4, but was it EM or OO?
