New Tredegar/Whiterose Station Masters

Postby Newport_rod » Thu Jan 02, 2014 11:47 am

I received this query recently. I wonder if any Circle members can help.

“Both my ggrandfather James and his brother Edwin Lewton-Brain worked as station masters for the railways in New Tredegar. I just found the address for Edwin, aged, 29, stationmaster at Whiterose station, in the 1891 census…I’m trying to find the descendants of Edwin, whom my father’s cousin, 92, Diana Lewton-Brain, remembers having visited James and Clare in Norfolk. Edwin and Annie had several children, among them yet again another Edwin…1900.”

I’ll forward responses to the enquirer.
