Having received roofboards for my new Hornby Collet coaches, does anybody know how, at any date from the early 1900s onwards, the roofboards went:
Newcastle or Hull (coaches from both)
Sheffield
Nottingham
Leicester
Banbury
Cheltenham
Newport
Cardiff
Penarth (for a time)
Barry
Swansea
Rather too long overall for the standard GWR fonts; which were left out? Or was it just "Ports to Ports Express?" Or, sadly, paper labels in windows?
The alternate working gives me an excuse for my Grandsons LNER stock!
Regards
Basil
