Taff Vale wagon brown

Postby NeilB » Wed May 10, 2017 12:20 pm

Can anyone advise me about the shade of brown adopted by the Taff Vale on its wagons in the last two decades of its existence, certainly in the period when the large lettering for "TV" was in use? I've seen models which suggest that the colour was akin to tan, while others show a much redder and darker brown.

All insights gratefully received!

The painting tables (which are available in the Members' Area of the Circle website) give for TVR Brown (late) Precision B19 for Matt and Humbrol Service Brown 10 for Gloss.
